Kitchen Knives
Oh, the joy of a lovely sharp knife in my kitchen. My most beloved knives are Rada brand, a rather common theme in our Mennonite circles. And my favorites of the Rada's are the black handled ones; the bread knife, the big slicing knife and the little paring knives. I really like the tomato knife too. And I don't like the Rada cheese knife. But there it sits in my drawer, with it's much preferred partners. I also keep a stack of serrated knives with plastic handles in various assorted sizes which we received for our wedding from one of Pat's friends. These are Pat's knives. He can cut the thinnest picture-perfect pieces of cheese with these knives. And I cannot. These knives do not behave for me. I keep them strictly for my husband man. Which are your favorite knives?

I love my black handled Rada ☑️
ReplyDeleteI have a love of knives ( and scissors!) I collithem. And use them! Yes, Rada is my favourite brand. Cuz I can sharpen them! I have I think 2 bread knives ( they are perfect for slicing bread and buns, and the French chef knives come out for cutting veggies and lettuce and melons and sandwiches etc and my Rada pizza cutter does a fine job on pizzas and butter horns. But I also love my Chinese cleavers. They even do well cutting frozen icecream desserts 😀
ReplyDeleteI have a huge stash of knives- a substantial Rada population, a full knife block, and several families of colourful knives with covers...I can get a clean one out every time I need to cut something, and I never run out, so I just go ahead and use as many as possible =)
